APPOINTMENT TYPES AND PAYMENTS

INITIAL PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION

1-1.5 HOURS • $400

The initial psychiatric evaluation is a thorough interview that lasts 1-1.5 hours and allows Dr. Vats to get to know you, your concerns and your goals for treatment. At the conclusion of this evaluation, a treatment plan will be collaboratively discussed. Comprehensive treatment recommendations may include psychotherapy, medications and/or psychosocial interventions.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT: STANDARD

30 MINUTES • $200

Follow up appointments last 25-30 minutes and may include medication management and/or psychotherapy. The length of time between appointments varies and is based on each patient’s individual needs and their treatment recommendations. At a minimum, patients are seen every 3 months. We also offer an extended follow up option for clients who need additional support.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT: EXTENDED

50 MINUTES • $275

Our extended follow up appointments are similar to the standard follow up but they can last up to 50 minutes. While we may cover many of the same topics including medication management and/or psychotherapy it allows for a more in-depth follow up for select clients. The length of time between appointments varies but at a minimum, patients are seen every 3 months. —————————

TELEPSYCHIATRY FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT

30 or 50 MINUTES

Telepsychiatry follow up appointments are available for established patients who are Texas residents and provide the convenience of video conferencing with Dr. Vats to receive psychiatric care from anywhere in the world. Telepsychiatry follow up appointments can be scheduled as either 30 minute or 50 minute appointments. Please call the office if you would like more information.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

INSURANCE

Evexia Psychiatry & Recovery is considered an “out of network” provider for all insurance provider networks. This allows Dr. Vats to have longer appointment time slots to thoroughly get to know you, your concerns and your goals for treatment. Dr. Vats takes a collaborative approach to treatment and will work with you to design a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your individual needs. At the end of each appointment, you will be provided with documentation which includes a receipt with a tax ID number, date of service, and the proper diagnostic codes. If your insurance reimburses for out of network claims, you may submit an insurance claim on your own. Conversely, other patients strongly desire treatment confidentiality, so they decide to keep treatment private and not notify their insurance carriers.

Payment for services is required on the day of your appointment. Acceptable forms of payment include: HSA Health Savings Account, FSA Flexible Spending Account, Apple Pay, cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards.

If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel at least 2 business days (48 hours, not including weekends) in advance. Cancellations made less than 2 business days in advance or no shows will be charged the full cost of the appointment.
